Rishikesh’s Landmark Spiritual Destination
Rishikesh drew international attention in 1968 when the world-famous musical band, The Beatles, came to the Himalayas to study with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, founder of the Transcendental Meditation Program. Beatles Ashram, originally known as Chaurasi Kutiya , was build by the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in early 1960, it is a site for heritage and music lovers and of course the fans of the iconic Beatles band, The Beatle ashram lies in the tranquile forests of Tiger Reserve of Rajaji National Park.
