Kunjapuri Devi Temple

Kunjapuri Devi Temple is a sacred temple of immense importance in the Hindu religion. Located at a height of 1676 meters on a hill, Kunjapuri Devi Temple is one of the 52 Shaktipeeth in Uttarakhand. Kunjapuri Temple is known for its sunrise view and Himalayan peaks gazing.

Tehri Dam

The Tehri Dam was constructed on the Bhagirathi River in Uttarakhand, India. The dam was constructed to provide hydroelectric power to the region as well as to control the floods of the Bhagirathi River. The Tehri Dam is one of the tallest dams in the world, standing at 260 meters. It has created a large reservoir extending over 10 km upstream on the Bhagirathi River.

Tehri Lake

Tehri Lake is located in Uttarkashi district, Uttarakhand. This artificial reservoir was built when the Tehri Dam was constructed in 1997. This project was undertaken with the aim of generating hydroelectric power and for irrigation purposes as well. This project took a period of 11 years to complete which was started in 1981. This artificial dam reservoir is situated at an elevation of 1,700 meters. This water body has an area of 40,500 hectares.

Surkanda Devi Temple

Surkanda Devi temple is a famous shrine located near Kaddukhal, 24 km from the town of Chamba and 40kms from Mussoorie. It is an ancient temple at the foothills of the Himalayas. The temple is on a hilltop and one has to climb about 600 steps to reach the top. The temple enshrines the three-headed goddess Durga.

Agrakhal is a small village in Tehri Garhwal District of Uttarakhand. It is situated near the state highway connecting Narendra Nagar and Ampata. It is on the border of Tehri Garhwal and Garhwal districts. A bridge on the river Chandrabhaga connects Agrakhal to the village of Ampata in the Garhwal district.
The village is home to a famous temple and a hospital. The temple is dedicated to the Goddess Pathal Devi.
