The Jim Corbett National Park, Jhirna Zone (Nainital) the Rajaji Tiger Reserve, Motichur Range ( Haridwar ), and Jhilmil Jheel Lake Zone ( Haridwar ) now remain open all year round, Uttarakhand.

Before the parks, which are the best known for tigers, leopards, deers, elephants, and other wildlife animals, used to close for the period of June 15 to November 15 each year.

• The  National parks are closed during the monsoon because of the animal breeding period, and the rains make the trails harder and muddy to ride on. The jungle becomes thick and dense, so spotting the big cat is a difficult job.
• But Jhirna Zone of Jim Corbett National Park now welcomes you to take a ride on Jeep to go on Safari in this zone along with buffer area which is the best known as Sitabani Zone.
• The park’s nature is in fresh, lush green, blooming and you will encounter wildlife for example deer, antelope, and boar who love to come out to play in the rain.
• This is maybe a great time for birding to train your binoculars & camera to watch  Asian barbets, quail, partridge, owls, pheasants, parakeets, and raptors in action hunting for prey.

Rajaji Tiger Reserve Monsoon Safari

• Rajaji Tiger Reserve has approx 37 tigers and only two tigresses in the Motichur range of National Park, the tiger reserve is spread over 570 sq km. The Moitchure tiger reserve has the capacity to house  83 tigers. Once it was a big home of tigres,
• The reserve’s eastern and western zone is parted by a busy traffic corridor, making wildlife difficult, especially for the tigers to move between the two parts.
• Before, the Motichur Zone was not open during breeding time 15 June to 15 November, but the government has decided to open all the year. ( Approx  INR 2400 per Vehicle )

Jhilmil Jheel Zone Monsoon Safari

• Jhilmil Jheel is just one hour from Haridwar, which is the best monsoon getaway for weekend travelers in Uttarakhand. The rain-wet wildlife put on a whole new look, once you enter the forested land, you admire the shades of the green lush forest and the Jhilmil Lake.
