Discover the Top 3 secret Meditative Cave in Rishikesh

There are many caves in Rishikesh where people experiment with their inner selves. One of the best caves in Rishikesh is Vashistha cave. Rishikesh is a small city on the foothill of the Himalayas north of Delhi. Outside of the city on the hillside, along the bank of the Ganges resides Vashistha’s Meditation Caves, also known as Vashistha Gufa.

Benefits of Cave meditation

  • The cave is something different for mediators. Entering such, you can feel a kind of sensation and positive vibes too. Experiencing a meditation retreat in a cave is an amazing experience, as there won’t be any distractions for you.
  • You will be required to be free from everything and this could mean hunger, thirst, cold, or even having to deal with the world outside.
  • Once you go through the retreat and share what you’ve learned with the outside world, it helps to grow spiritually. A cave is warm during winter, yet cool during summer. Getting the opportunity to meditate in caves might never happen again, and we should cherish that opportunity if it arises.
  • Thousands of years ago, ancient Indian sages sat down and meditated in caves in the mountains of the Himalayas. During meditation spontaneously they adopted some new postures and began breathing in a very unique way.
  • Then they conveyed to others their newly-found knowledge and insights. This is how Yogas – the science of body, mind, soul, and spirit – came to be as we know it today.
