How to Reach Ram Jhula

By Train:
If you prefer to travel by train, the nearest railway station is the Rishikesh Railway Station. From there, you can easily hire an auto to reach Ram Jhula.

By Air:
The closest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, which is about 22 km away. You’ll find taxis available for hire right outside the airport gates to take you anywhere in Rishikesh, including Ram Jhula. A taxi ride from the airport to Ram Jhula will cost you approximately INR 1,500.

By Road:
There’s also a reliable bus service available from the airport. If you’re traveling on a budget, taking the bus from Haridwar to Rishikesh can be a cost-effective option. Once in town, the roads are well-connected with rickshaws and autos, making it easy to navigate the city and its surroundings without any hassle.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Ram Jhula to enjoy its natural beauty and spiritual serenity is between February and May. Since Ram Jhula is located at the foothills of the Himalayas and alongside the River Ganga, the weather is generally pleasant year-round.

However, keep in mind that summers can get quite hot and dry, with temperatures soaring up to 40 degrees Celsius. The winters are more enjoyable and comfortable for visitors. It’s best to avoid the monsoon season, as the rains can hinder sightseeing and activities like river rafting, and the roads can become slippery and dangerous for trekking.
