Badrinath Ashram Overview

There are 13 cozy apartments, each with two beds, a kitchen, bathroom, and all the essentials like clean sheets, towels, and blankets. The ashram also has a big meditation hall and a yoga hall, both with space heaters to keep warm.

• There’s a communal dining room and kitchen where everyone can eat together, a bookstore, and an office. For visitors who come just for the day, there are shared toilets and showers. The ashram also has a lovely garden with local vegetables and flowers, as well as a special space called Mantra Yagna Peetam.
• The ashram is located in a peaceful area of Badrinath, surrounded by the beautiful Himalayan mountains. It’s just a short walk to the famous Badrinarayan Temple.
• The area is very quiet, with no cars allowed, so it’s perfect for meditation and feeling close to Babaji. The ashram is at a high altitude, so you’ll see snow-capped mountains all around. There’s also a breathtaking waterfall nearby.
• Badrinath is closed during the winter because of heavy snowfall, so the ashram is open from early May to early November. If you want to stay at the ashram, you need to book in advance and make a suggested donation. For more information, you can contact the ashram’s manager.
