Valley of flowers uttarakhand is inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage natural Site and the valley of flowers India constitutes two core zones of Nanda Devi National Park & Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve.

Valley of flower National Park is said to have been explored in 1931 when three British mountains explorer– led by Frank S Smythe – fortunately, lost their way and landed in this valley. overwhelmed by the scene of the valley & named it the “Valley of Flowers”.

The valley is glorifying each year in the flowering season over 600 species of flowers like orchids, poppies, primulas, marigold, daisies, and anemones. The valley of the flowers India is sub-alpine forests birch and rhododendron covering the park.

Valley of flowers trek offers eye-opening sceneries of cascading waterfalls and wild valley streams. The valley is perched at an elevation of 3,600 m above, the valley is also the home to some rare wildlife like the gray langur, the flying squirrel, the Himalayan weasel, and black bear, the red fox, the lime butterfly, the snow leopard, and Himalayan monal & many more.

Valley of Flowers Best Time to visit The Best viewed flowers are between the months of May and October, these moths turn the park into a botanical fairyland but the maximum number of flowers are from July to September.
