Tushita Meditation Centre Mcleodganj: want to meditate?

Wow, Tushita Meditation Centre Mcleodganj is an amazing place! I’m so grateful for the love, kindness, compassion, and wisdom they offer. My experience there is something I’ll never forget. The teaching was really good, and the meditation sessions were led with care. I took the Introduction to Buddhism course, which was simple and I think everyone should try it. It’s a shame they don’t teach these things in schools.

Tushita Centre

TUSHITA, which means ‘The Place of Joy,‘ is considered the pure land of the coming Buddha Maitreya. It’s a place that holds significant value, particularly with the growing interest in Buddhist Philosophy and Meditation among both Westerners and Indians. Regular courses are offered here, specifically designed for those interested in delving deeper into meditation practices.

10-Day Residential Retreat

The center offers a 10-day residential retreat with meditation learning called “Introduction to Buddhism.” It’s a very popular program and includes accommodation and meals. There are options for single rooms, double occupancy, and dorms, with most facilities available including laundry service.

The premises are surrounded by gardens, sitting areas, and winding paths, with stupas interspersed throughout. There’s also a library cum bookshop and a beautiful ambiance.

Veg Food Only

The food was vegetarian (they also have options for vegans), fresh, healthy, and delicious. I especially loved the peanut butter—it was so yummy! They serve the food with love and kindness.

Facilities at Tushita Meditation Centre

They have laundry facilities on-site, and the bathrooms have both Indian and Western-style toilets. The showers have hot water and good water pressure. I visited during the cold season, so it was chilly, but they have thick duvets you can rent. I’d also recommend bringing a hot water bottle.

If you’re thinking about doing a course at Tushita Meditation Centre Mcleodganj, just go for it. There’s no downside—it’ll only make you a better person and give you tools to deal with the stress of our busy lives. Tushita is a non-profit organization, so any help you can give them is appreciated.
