Surkanda Devi Temple

Perched at 2,250 meters, Dhanaulti offers a lot for travelers. Start your first morning with a trek to either Lal Tibba, a 60-km trail, or for those more spiritually inclined, to the Surkanda Devi Temple. Situated eight km from Dhanaulti, the trek offers stunning views and a rewarding experience. Spend a couple of hours here, then enjoy lunch at a local eatery.

Next, visit the ancient Dashavatar Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Dress modestly and take your time admiring the architecture of this historical structure. Dhanaulti Eco Park

On your second day, start with a visit to the Dhanaulti Eco Park. Walk among the towering oak, rhododendron, and deodar trees. The park opens at sunrise and closes at 6 pm daily, with an entry fee of INR 25 per adult and INR 10 per child.

Next, head to the 16th-century Deogarh Fort, a well-known attraction in Dhanaulti. This architectural gem houses beautiful murals and Jain temples, offering a glimpse into the bygone era.

If you’re looking to shop, visit nearby Mussoorie for its trendy cafes and vibrant markets. However, if you prefer to buy something local, Dhanaulti has small shops selling jams, jellies, and marmalades, perfect for gifts. Don’t miss trying the rich and flavorful Garhwali pulao and bhang ki chutney, made with cannabis seeds.
