Watsu – Japanese Aquatic Flexing:

Embracing the rare Japanese practice of Watsu, I submerged into a specially designed pool accompanied by a skilled healer. The gentle flexing of muscles, rotations, and deep stretches in the water created a unique connection with my subconscious mind. After a 45-minute session, I felt a profound sense of balance, calmness, and overall body relaxation.

Raag Nidra – Ancient Indian Sound Therapy:

Rooted in ancient Indian traditions, Raag Nidra is a therapeutic experience that combines body and mind relaxation. Accompanied by calming tunes played by a flautist, participants lie on a bed, covered in warm blankets.

Moving consciousness from head to arms, waist to legs, and beyond, the session induces deep relaxation, with many participants even drifting into peaceful sleep. This ritual is known to alleviate insomnia, making it a perfect pre-sleep practice.

Hor Gyi Metsa – Tibetan Healing at Sowa Rigpa Center:

At the Sowa Rigpa center, dedicated to Tibetan healing techniques, I experienced Hor Gyi Metsa. Rooted in Tibetan culture, this therapy involves Buddhist chants and hot potli bags filled with healing herbs applied to the body.

Falling into a serene slumber, I awoke feeling profoundly relaxed. The Sowa Rigpa center, adorned with traditional Tibetan paintings, became a personal highlight of my Six Senses Vana journey.

Cave Meditation – Underground Serenity:

Set in an artificially designed underground cave adorned with Buddhist paintings, the cave meditation immersed me in the resonance of chanting “Om.” With eyes closed, I sat on the cave floor, feeling the sound reverberate through my body.

This meditation fostered a sense of oneness with the surroundings, making it an ideal practice to later undertake in natural caves where monks meditate in North India.

Abhyanga – Ancient Indian Flexing Therapy:

Abhyanga, an ancient Indian flexing therapy, involves body scrubbing, steam, bathing, and massage. Two therapists spent 45 minutes scrubbing my body, providing deep relief through alternating pressure. The Abhyanga center, with rooms overlooking the boundless nature, left my skin calm and breakout-free for months.

Candle Meditation – Illuminating Self-awareness:

Conducted within the cave itself, the candle meditation unfolded amidst Tibetan artworks, creating an atmosphere of meditation. With lights off, each participant held a candle, focusing on different sections to observe colors and patterns. The three-part meditation enhanced my confidence and self-awareness, offering moments of profound calmness and improved visualization.
