Gaurikund Kedarnath – Mythology & Legends

Gaurikund is deeply rooted in Hindu mythology and is associated with Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva.

Another popular belief states that Lord Ganesha received his elephant head at Gaurikund after Lord Shiva accidentally beheaded him and later revived him with an elephant’s head.
