History

It is famous Siddha Peeth, offering many sights to behold. It is located just 100 meters from Hanuman Garhi. According to beliefs, King Dashrath established this palace in the Treta Yuga. Over time, this mythological palace has undergone several renovations. Dashrath Mahal is also famous as Bada Sthan or Badi Jagah.

Today, Dashrath Mahal has become a holy temple housing the idols of Lord Rama, Mata Sita, Laxman, Shatrughan, and Bharat. It is believed that the great King Dashrath lived here with his relatives.
