For the helicopter service’s second phase starting in September, bookings will open on IRCTC’s website from September 10.

A 10-member committee, chaired by Home Secretary Shailesh Bagauli, has prepared an SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for safety and flight standards in the Kedarnath helicopter service.

After government approval, services will resume from September 15 under the new SOP rules. AUDA (Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority) CEO Ashish Chauhan stated that due to fewer shuttle flights and limited seats available daily from Guptkashi, Sirsi, and Phata to Kedarnath, permission was given to increase the fares.
