About the Ropeway

The Conveyor Ropeway Services Pvt. Ltd. from Kolkata built the ropeway under a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) project for ₹3 crores. It has 8 cabins, each seating 6 people, and stations for boarding and getting off. The imported rope and tall towers make it very attractive to tourists.

From the ropeway, you can see the beach from Dolphin’s Nose to Appu Ghar and an aerial view of Visakhapatnam’s city, surrounded by hills and greenery. This ropeway also supports the Circular Train Project, giving a bird’s-eye view of the beautiful hills, valleys, and beaches.

Vizag Glass Bridge

The Vizag Glass Bridge now surpasses Kerala’s 38-metre Vagamon Glass Bridge in length. Engineers use imported German glass panels made of three layers of tempered laminated glass, each 40mm thick. They support the structure with 40 tons of fabricated steel.

The bridge withstands a load of 500 kg per square metre, enabling it to accommodate more than 100 people at once. Authorities regulate visitor entry in 40 batches to ensure safety.
