Govind Ghat: Govindghat to Ghangaria Trip Review

Govind Ghat is a scenic town situated in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India. It is located at an altitude of 1,828 meters above sea level and serves as the starting point for the trek to the famous Valley of Flowers National Park and the Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara.   • One of the major attractions of Govind Ghat is the Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara, which is located approximately 4 kilometers from Ghagaria town. Hemkund Sahib is a famous Sikh pilgrimage site, located at an altitude of 4,329 meters above sea level. The Gurudwara is situated on the banks of a serene lake, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, and is visited by thousands of devotees every year.
  • Another major attraction of Govind Ghat is the Valley of Flowers National Park, which is located approximately 3 kilometers from Ghangaria town. The park is spread over an area of 87.5 square kilometers and is known for its diverse flora and fauna, including several rare and endangered species.
