Discover Delhi to Ranikhet: 3-Days Tour of Mahavatar Babaji Cave
Delhi to Ranikhet distance by car is 370 km and takes about 8 -9 hours to reach. Its name means “Queen’s Meadows , sits at an elevation of 1829 meters above sea level. Ranikhet offers breathtaking views of snow-covered Himalayas.
According to popular belief, Ranikhet got its name when Rani Padmini, the queen of Raja Sukherdev, fell in love with the place and decided to make it her home. The British developed Ranikhet as a hill station for their troops and established a cantonment here in 1869.
Day 01, New Delhi to Ranikhet 370 km 8-9 hours
Pickup from New Delhi’s hotel or Airport in the morning and meeting with our driver a straight drive to Ranikhet 370 km 8-9 hr. via Nainital and Neem Karoli Baba Ashram, Upon arrival check-In and overnight.
Day 02, Ranikhet to Mahavatar Babaji Cave (65 km)
Mornging Breakfast
08:00 AM– you will drive in the Private Transport to Babaji Cave within 2.5 hours through Himalayan zizag forested raod via Dwarahat. Dwaraht is known for town of temples, there are more 40 temples, the most famous is Shiva ( Mahamrityunjay Temple) and Gujar Dev Temple. If time permits, you can have quick look to these 2 temples.
010:30 AM- You start trekking to Mahavatar Babaji Cave. 3 km easy level trek, 60-90 Minutes Trek Time. Trail is easy paved with stones and marked with sign board.
12:00 PM Mahavatar Babaji Cave Meditation and have relaxed time to assimilate the energy of the Cave & explore the YSS Hut on your own. Later trek back by trek at tail end of the road to drive back to Ranikhet , Dinner and Lights off.
Day 03, Ranikhet to Delhi by Surface trip (370 km) 8-9 hrs.
Mornging Breakfast
Early morning departure followed by early morning Breakfast. Then, you will drive directly by road to New Delhi. On the way, visit Neem Karoli Baba Ashram and lunch somewhere. Upon arrival in New Delhi, transfer to Delhi Airport or New Delhi Hotels. Tour will end.

How to Reach Ranikhet from Delhi
By Air:
The nearest airport to Ranikhet is Pantnagar, which is 120 km away.
By Train:
The nearest railway station is Kathgodam, located 80 km from Ranikhet.
By Road:
Route 1: Delhi to Ranikhet – Ghaziabad – Moradabad – Rampur – Nainital – Ranikhet, via NH 9. The Delhi to Ranikhet distance by car is 370 km and takes approximately 8 hours without detours.
Route 2: Delhi To Ranikhet- Ghaziabad – Moradabad – Rampur – Bareilly – Haldwani – Ranikhet. This route ( Delhi to Ranikhet by car ) covers 377 km and takes about 9 hours.
Route 3: Delhi to Ranikhet – Ghaziabad – Meerut – Kashipur – Ranikhet, via SH 12. This route spans 425 km and takes about 11 hours.
