The Chandi Devi temple is 4 km from Haridwar Railway Station. It is believed that here the Goddess Parvati (wife of Lord Shiva) killed the demons Chand and Mund.
The Maya Devi Temple is the most ancient, where, the heart of Goddess Sati fell at present temple ground beside Adi Shankaracharya math in Haridwar.
