Valley of Flowers Trek

With the recent development of a new road till the village of Poolna, the trekking dynamics between Govindghat and Ghangaria have significantly changed. The trek distance is now reduced to 14 km, with the first 4 km made motorable. This accessibility allows for the option of hiring ponies or porters at Poolna village and even opting for a helicopter ride from Govindghat to Ghangaria.

The reduced trekking time opens up the possibility of staying in Joshimath or Auli the night before the trek, and even including a visit to Badrinath in the itinerary upon returning from Ghangaria to Govindghat. Additionally, visitors can explore Auli in the evening and opt to stay there as well, enhancing the flexibility and convenience of the overall trekking experience.

The journey to the Valley of Flowers covers a distance of 4 km from Ghangaria village. Once inside the valley, it stretches for 6-7 km. The actual distance trekked within the valley varies based on the exploration preferences of the trekkers.
