Temple(City) Tour

Rishikesh is also known as the city of temples. Here are some most important temples, you can visit comfortably with your Tour guide. *Bharat Mandir which is the most important temple of  Rishikesh. It is also known as the Rishikesh temple. * Raghunath Temple and  Ram Temple *Bhootnath Temple, is a fierce form of Shiva *Kunjapuri Temple situated out of city of Rishikesh. *Virbhadra Temple  which is dedicated to Shiva. *Neelkanth Temple  is also known as Neelkanth Mahadev temple, and *Tera Manzil Temple where you will find a distance view of Laxman Jhula area. 

Walking
River Walk along the Ganges, starts from Laxman Jhula and ends up at Bramhapuri Temple, is know and Garud Temple in Rishikesh.  You will get chance to meet and interact with monks and Sadhus are  living along the bank of the Ganges , away from the city life , passing through the diverse ashram such as Gopal Ashram,* Ram Tapasthali Ashram, Ganga Osho Dham Ashram and hermitage having conversational and observing the everyday life will be new kind of experience you take 
 
Ganga Aarti

Aarti, the prayer ceremony of the Ganges river which takes place every day on the bank of the Ganges river at three Ghats of Rishikesh, Triveni Ghat, * Parmarth Niketan Ghat and Shatrughan Ghat at Ram Jhula.  It is performed on a stage by a group of young Hindu priests. Chanting of hymns and blowing of the conch shell marks the start of the Aarti after that priests do this ceremony with incenses, flowers, and fire. More or less 1000 pilgrims gather there to see the Aarti. The Aarti starts during dusk  around 5:30 pm in the winter season  and 6:30 pm in the summer season and is a forty-five-minute long soulful ritual.

Old city tour

Walking in the old Rishikesh  you will feel and understand how people are living in the old city from generation to generation in the same place.
First of all, you will see a big and colorful crowded market(cloth, vegetables, and fruits) where local people come to buy daily needs. Then you will have a long walk in the narrow lane to see old houses, shrines, Bharat Mandir, wooden Gopal Laddu Temple, etc.

Getting to Rishikesh

By Bus:

You can take a bus to Rishikesh from Delhi. The trip takes about 6 hours, and when you get there, it’s easy to catch a tuk-tuk to get around the city.

By Train:

There are two train stations in Rishikesh, called Rishikesh and Yog Nagri. There’s also a big train station in Haridwar, which is about an hour away and connects to many other places. It’s simple to arrange a taxi in India, and you can ask for help at your hotel or guesthouse.

By Air:

The nearest airport to Rishikesh is Dehradun Airport. It’s just a 40-minute drive away. If you want to skip the long bus ride, you can fly from Delhi to Dehradun for around INR 3000 -5000. Remember to book your ride from the airport to Rishikesh ahead of time!
