The Mayapur TOVP is now open partially with a three-month-long celebration in the beginning December 2024 and culminating in a grand finale on Gaura Purnima 2025. Once completed, it will emerge as India’s largest modern Mayapur Narasimha Vedic temple. The Mayapur TOVP is now attracting devotees worldwide for divine love.
Temple History
- The journey towards the realization of the The TOVP Mayapur (Temple of the Vedic Planetarium ) began in 1976 when His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada planted the seed of this visionary project in the mind of Ambarisha Dasa (Alfred Ford). Ambarisha Dasa is a disciple of Prabhupada and the great-grandson of automotive mogul Henry Ford.
- Despite facing numerous setbacks and challenges, including a failed attempt to steal the deities of Srila Prabhupada and Srimati Radharani in 1984. The unwavering faith and determination of the project’s leaders prevailed.
- Ambarisha Dasa is now chairman of the TOVP Mayapur( Temple of the Vedic Planetarium ). He spearheaded the construction efforts, financing the project with his own resources and fervent dedication.

Milestones of Progress
Since its inception, the The TOVP Mayapur (Temple of the Vedic Planetarium ) has achieved several significant milestones, including the completion of its superstructure, the installation of auspicious discs and metal hemispherical bases on its three domes, and the inauguration of the 69-room pujari floor.
The most recent milestone of Mayapur Narasimha was the welcoming of the specially designed Prabhupada Murti in October 2021. Partially opening of the temple is setting the stage for temple of the Vedic planetarium Mayapur opening date Gaur Purnima 2025.
The Nrisimha Wing Tovp Mayapur

- Mayapur Narasimha temple spans over five floors. The Nrisimhadeva Hall boasts vibrant artwork and bas-reliefs depicting the divine lilas of Prahlada Maharaja and Lord Nrisimhadeva.
- Visitors enchants by the ornate altar and the majestic 82-foot-high dome adorned with custom-made gold-leafed coffered tiles.
- The centerpiece of the chamber, a 37-foot-long deity chamber crafted from pure black granite which houses Sri Prahlada-Nrisimhadeva deities. Surrounding the altar are sixteen majestic columns made of the finest marble, each adorned with intricate carvings and exquisite detailing.
