Apatani Tribes

The Apatani tribes live in Ziro Valley in the Lower Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh. They are famous for growing wet rice.

Their fields are on flat land in the valley, surrounded by hills. The hills send nutrients to the soil when it rains, so they do not need to use fertilisers.
