Rajinikanth Mahavatar Babaji’s Connection
Rajinikanth was seen meditating in the Mahavatar Babaji Cave. The legendary actor of Indian cinema, Rajinikanth, is known not only for his films but also for his spiritual life. Once again, he is in the news for his Himalayan journey. These days, Rajinikanth is in the lap of the Himalayas, where he meditated in the cave of Mahavatar Babaji.
In the Himalayas, the Yogoda Satsanga Society has built a cave for meditation and yoga, where even superstars like Rajinikanth visit. Rajinikanth used to go there before the release of each of his films. He visited the place before the release of his film Kaala last year. How Mahavatar Babaji Looks?
“Babaji has long and radiant hair, which makes him appear far more luminous and youthful than his disciples. Once, at Mataji’s request, he said that he would not give up his physical body, and that it would remain visible on Earth to a few. God has chosen Babaji to remain on Earth in his physical form until the end of the present age (Kalpa). Ages will come and go, but the immortal great guru, the Mahāmṛtyuñjaya, will remain here, witnessing the grand play of the ages.
When Lahiri Mahasaya was working as an accountant in Danapur, he had his first meeting with Babaji. After receiving a telegram, his manager sent him to Ranikhet, where a new army camp was being established. While wandering there, when he went to meet a saint, he was astonished to see that the young saint looked exactly like him.”

Can You see Mahavatar Babaji ?
Neither anyone knows about his birth nor about his life. It is said that Mahavatar Babaji appears only to a few chosen ones and reveals only as much about himself as he wishes the world to know. No one has ever clicked his photograph, and he does not give discourses.
Yet, he has millions of devotees across the country and the world. He is regarded as the father of Kriya Yoga. His selected disciples have spread his teachings and words to the world.
Swami Yogananda
Swami Yogananda, the founder of Yogoda Ashram, mentioned him in his book ‘Autobiography of a Yogi’. He stated that he too had the divine vision of Babaji, and it was on Babaji’s command that he went to the Western world to spread his teachings.
The yogis who have had Babaji’s darshan say that Babaji is aware of everything happening in the world. It is said that he has been residing in the Himalayas for centuries in his physical body.
He has been seen wandering in the Northern Himalayan mountains located around Badrinath. His spiritual state is considered beyond human comprehension.
Yukteswar Giri
In the words of Yukteswar Giri, who was well-versed in the Bhagavad Gita, Samkhya, Vedas, and Upanishads, Mahavatar Babaji is inconceivable, and an ordinary human being cannot even understand his state. Paramhansa Yogananda says that it was Babaji who initiated Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya and the medieval poet Kabir.
What say Lahiri Mahasaya
According to the words of Lahiri Mahasaya, merely uttering the name of Mahavatar Babaji grants a person instant spiritual vision. He stated that Babaji roams in the mountains with his disciples.
It is said that among his group, there are also two advanced American disciples. They walk from one peak to another and do not stay long in one place. Lahiri Mahasaya says that Babaji can become invisible and go anywhere, but he chooses not to do so.
He said that Babaji’s body is imperishable, and therefore he does not need food or water. People can recognize him only when he wishes. Sometimes he appears with a beard and mustache, and sometimes without them.
He eats fruits or rice kheer with his disciples as an act of worldly courtesy. Kevalananda said that he met Babaji twice. He witnessed Babaji striking one of his disciples on the shoulder with a piece of wood burning in a Vedic fire ritual, thereby liberating him from the fire of karma.
He even mentioned that when a man recognized Mahavatar Babaji, he insisted on accepting him as his guru. When the man threatened to jump off the mountain, Babaji still did not make him his disciple, and the man actually jumped.
Kevalananda said that, astonishingly, when the man’s body was brought before Babaji, he instantly revived him and then included him in the “Amar Mandali” (the circle of immortals).
Which language Mahavatar Babaji spekas?
People who have met Mahavatar Babaji say that he has the ability to speak any language, but he usually speaks in Hindi.
His favorite phrase is “Dera-Danda Uthao” (meaning pack up and move on), which he says to his disciples whenever they are about to travel from one place to another. He also carries a staff with him. Many have also had the darshan of his sister, known as ‘Mataji’. Paramhansa Yogananda wrote in his book.
The astonishing thing is that the saint remembered Lahiri Mahasaya’s name and even called out to him. After this, he reminded him of events from his past life and also taught him yoga.
Kriya Yoga
He then initiated him into Kriya Yoga through the complete spiritual process. He took Lahiri Mahasaya on a tour of a palace that was filled entirely with gold. Afterward, he instructed Lahiri Mahasaya to become a householder yogi.
He also introduced his circle of friends to Babaji, who were astonished and wondered how someone could enter the room without being seen.
They called it mesmerism, but Babaji proved his presence by touching everyone’s bodies. He had halwa prepared, ate it, and conversed with all those present. Once, he was even seen bowing and washing utensils in front of a matted-haired sannyasi.
It is said that in 1920, Paramhansa Yogananda was appointed as a messenger of Kriya Yoga teachings in the Western countries through divine vision. Yogananda resolved to pray deeply to God so that he might receive faith and blessings to accomplish the great work that had come close to him. In response, Babaji himself appeared before Yogananda, blessed him, and promised him supreme protection. Babaji said to Yogananda:
“You are the one I have chosen to spread the teachings of Kriya Yoga in the Western countries. Long ago, I met your guru Yukteswar at the Kumbh Mela; I told him that I would send you to him for training. Kriya Yoga, which is a scientific technique to attain God-realization, will eventually spread to all countries and help establish harmonious relations among nations through the individual’s supreme realization of the Divine Father.”
