Here’s How to Plan  3 days trip to Uttarakhand:

1. When’s the Best Time to Go?
  • The best time to visit is from March to June. The weather is super nice then! But if you love snow and chilly weather, you should go from October to February.
2. Where to Stay?
  • Both Nainital and Mukteshwar have lots of places to stay! You can find everything from cozy budget spots to fancy hotels. Make sure to book your room early, especially during busy times when lots of people want to visit.
3. What to Pack?
  • When you pack your bag, keep it light! But don’t forget to bring warm clothes for the chilly evenings. Comfortable walking shoes are a must because you’ll want to explore! And bring along a good camera to snap pictures of all the beautiful sights.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN NAINITAL – EXPLORE THE LAKE CITY

Morning: Arrival and Lake Tour

Yay! It’s the start of our adventure in Nainital, the super cool lake city! We can either take a 6-7 hour drive from Delhi or hop on a train to Kathgodam, the nearest train station. When we arrive, we’ll check into the Shervani Hotel, famous for its awesome views of the lake and friendly service. This place will make our stay extra special!

After settling in, let’s get ready to explore Naini Lake! We can take a fun boat ride on the peaceful waters, surrounded by beautiful hills. The calmness of the lake is a great way to kick off our holiday!

Afternoon: Mall Road and Naina Devi Temple

After our boat ride, it’s time for some shopping and yummy food at Mall Road! This street is filled with lively shops, cozy cafés, and places to eat. We can try local treats like Momos (delicious dumplings) and Bal Mithai (a sweet treat)!

Once we’ve had our fill, we can visit the Naina Devi Temple. It’s a peaceful spot where we can reflect and enjoy the stunning views of the lake.

Evening: Snow View Point or Tiffin Top

As the sun starts to set, we can choose to visit Snow View Point by taking a cable car. The views of the snowy Himalayas are breathtaking! If we prefer a little hike, Tiffin Top is a fantastic place to watch the sunset, with gorgeous views of the hills and valleys.

After a fun-filled day, we’ll head back to the Shervani Hotel for a cozy dinner and relax while enjoying the cool mountain air.

DAY 2: NAINITAL TO MUKTESHWAR – NATURE’S RETREAT

Morning: Journey to Mukteshwar

Good morning! After a tasty breakfast, we’ll embark on a scenic two-hour drive to Mukteshwar. This lovely town is perched at 2,285 meters above sea level and is surrounded by beautiful orchards, forests, and terraced fields. Once we arrive, we’ll check into our hotel and get ready for a peaceful day of exploring!

Late Morning: Mukteshwar Temple and Chauli Ki Jali

Our first stop will be the Mukteshwar Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It’s not only a spiritual place but also offers spectacular views of the nearby peaks, perfect for some quiet reflection.

Next, we’ll visit Chauli Ki Jali. It’s a cliffside spot where adventurous kids can try rock climbing! The viewpoint here is fantastic, and on clear days, we can see the distant Nanda Devi peak.

Afternoon: Lunch and Local Exploration

After our exciting morning, we’ll enjoy lunch at a local café, trying out some tasty Kumaoni dishes! Afterward, let’s take a relaxing walk through Mukteshwar’s lush forests. This area is perfect for nature lovers, with tons of birds and beautiful scenery to enjoy!

Evening: Sunset at Mukteshwar

As the day winds down, we can find a nice spot to watch the sunset over Mukteshwar. The sky will light up with warm colors, giving us a perfect ending to a beautiful day.

DAY 3: RETURN TO NAINITAL – ADVENTURE AND DEPARTURE

Morning: Back to Nainital – Eco Cave Gardens

After breakfast, we’ll head back to Nainital, but not before stopping at the Eco Cave Gardens. This cool place has a series of interconnected caves that are perfect for adventurous kids and families!

Afternoon: Nainital Zoo or Bhimtal

If we have some extra time, we can visit the Nainital Zoo, where we can see rare animals like the snow leopard and Himalayan bear. Alternatively, we can take a short trip to Bhimtal, which is just 22 km away. It’s quieter and has relaxing lake views where we can take another fun boat ride.

Evening: Departure

After a delicious lunch, it’ll be time to say goodbye to Uttarakhand. We’ll leave with amazing memories of its beautiful lakes, towering mountains, and the warm hospitality we experienced.
