Overview

This wonderful and inspiring pilgrimage offers an extraordinary variety of spiritual experiences along with a fascinating itinerary that runs through the most sacred places of India, rich in remote landscapes immersed in nature: from the banks of the Ganges to Rishikesh to the Himalayan mountains and the forests and jungles of the hilly area of Badrinath and Mana Village & Maha Avtar Babaji Cave.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 , Rishikesh to Rudraprayag (140 Km / 6 hr)

After Breakfast in the Hotel, drive to Rudraprayag en-route visit powerful Vashishta Cave, whose intense peace has attracted saints and sages for more than 5,000 years, a wise devotee who lives in a picturesque ashram on the Ganges and Dev Prayag, the confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi, visit here an ancient temple of Ragunath Ji, later proceed to Srinagar, lunch at local restaurant and visit the Dhari Devi Temple along with confluence of Alaknanda & Mandakini and the local Bazar. Overnight in Rudraprayag.

Day 2, Rudraprayag – Badrinath ( 160 Km / 6 Hr)

Upon Arrival. Check in Hotel, later in the evening visit the main shrine of Sri Badrinarayan Temple. Located at 3,100 meters on the banks of the Alaknanda River, it was founded by Swami Adi Shankaracharya in the seventh century. The temple is dedicated to Badrinarayan, one of the forms of Vishnu, which many devotees consider to be Babaji. The extraordinary statue of the temple of Badrinath was found along the river bank by Shankaracharya itself and later visit visit the caves of Veda Vyasa and Ganesha, which brought the Mahabharata and the Bhagavad Gita into the world. We will also have time to visit the Tibetan colony of Mana. Overnight.

Day 3, Badrinath to Gwaldham (180 Km / 6 hr)

Breakfast at Hotel & check out, drive to Gwaldham via Karnprayag, en-route visit an ancient Joshi Math Temple ( the winter shrine of Lord Vishnu) one of the oldest Himalayan group of Temples of Adi Badri dedicated to Lord Vishnu and others Hindu deities, dating back to 10th century, Gwaldham ancient Hindu Temple & Buddhist Khamba Temple & Overnight at Gwaldham

Day 4, Gwaldham to Kausani ( 40 Km / 4 hr ) En-route visit Baijnath & Bageshwar

Morning breakfast & check out from the hotel, drive to Kausani ( 100 km / 2 Hr) in the private transport, en-route visit Badhangarhi Hindu Temple that is 8 km from Gwaldham and the Baijnath group of temples dating back to 10th century ( 23 km ) further visit Bageshwar group of temples ( 21 km) then drive back to Kausani, Mahatma Gandhi used to call Kausani as Mini Switzerland of India, one of the most beautiful scenic town of India, check-in & Overnight.

Day 5, Kausani to Baba Ji Cave ( 81 Km / 4 hr [ motorable road ] & 2 km moderate trek route ) Day Excursion

Early Morning Breakfast proceed to Babaji cave via Dwarahat, upon arrival at small hamlet which is called Kukuchina have small tea break there then proceed for Baba Ji Cave ( 2 km / unpaved Motorable road & 2 km trek route), after the cave visit , while trekking back en-route, there is an ashram for meditation of YSS, is located by a waterstream, where Lahiri Mahasaya also meditated. On this day, you will also make a visit the temple of a goddess Dunagiri, later visit Mahamrityunjay Temple which is dedicated to Shiva along with the ancient temple of Badrinath, Gujar Dev Temple. Overnight at Kausani.

Day 6, Kausani to Nainital ( 115 Km / 4 hr )

Early morning breakfast at the Hotel. Proceed to the district of Nainital. En-route visit Jageshwar Dham, 2000 yeras old group of 200 Temples, dedicated to Lord Shiva along with the Kainchi Dham, where Steve Jobs and the Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg's and others world famous business tycoon has made their visit to this Ashram. So you will stop there to make a visit to the ashram of Neem Karoli Baba and drive to Nainital. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 7, Nainital to Delhi (335 Km / 8 hr.)

After breakfast at Hotel, check out and transfer to railway station, Kathgodam ( Kathgodam NEW Delhi Shatabdi Express - 12039)- Departure, 15:35/ Arrival, 21:10 ) at New Delhi Railway Station or drive to Delhi in the Private car. The surface drive will take around 8 to 9 hr to reach New Delhi.
