The highlight of this itinerary is to visit Babaji Cave where Lahiri Mahasaya met Mahavatar Babaji in the cave first in the autumn of 1861. Babaji was initiated Lahiri Mahasaya into Kriya Yoga & taught the Kriya Yoga science inside the cave. This quiet part of the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand state has powerful spiritual vibrations and also offers saints, ashrams, and breathtaking views of the peaks of the Himalayas. You will visit Devprayag Sangam, Sri Badrinath Temple Bagnath, Rudraprayag Sangam, Kausani Dwarahat, and Kainchi Dham with living vibrations of Neem Karoli Baba.
After Breakfast in the Hotel, drive to Rudraprayag Sangam, en-route visit powerful Vashishta Gufa, whose intense peace has attracted saints and sages for more than 5,000 years, a wise devotee who lives in a picturesque Pursottamananda ashram on the Ganges.
Later, visit Devprayag Sangam, the confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi & an ancient temple of Ragunathji. After Devprayag Sangam, proceed to Srinagar, lunch at local restaurant and visit the Dhari Devi Temple & Rudraprayag Sangam- confluence of Alaknanda & Mandakini. Overnight Rudraprayag.
Upon arrival, proceed for Barinath temple via Nandprayag Sangam, Karnprayag Sangam, Vishnuprayag Sangam, Joshimath, Govind Ghat & Pandukeshwar, check in Hotel, later in the evening visit the main shrine of Sri Badrinarayan Temple, at 3,100 meters on the banks of the Alaknanda River. The temple was founded by Swami Adi Shankaracharya in the seventh century. The temple is devoted to Badrinarayan, one of the forms of Vishnu.
The extraordinary statue of the temple of Badrinath was found along the river bank by Shankaracharya itself and later visit the caves of Veda Vyasa and Sri Ganesha, which brought the Mahabharata and the Bhagavad Gita into the world. If time allows, you take a trip to the Tibetan colony of Mana village. Overnight.
Breakfast at Hotel & check out, drive to Gwaldam via Pipalkoti, Karnprayag, en-route visit one of the oldest Himalayan group of Temples, Joshimath Temple ( the winter shrine of Lord Vishnu), dating back to 7th century. Gwaldam is blissful hill station famous for ancient Hindu Temple & Buddhist Khamba Temple, Badhangarhi temple and many more & Overnight at Gwaldam.
Morning breakfast & check out from the hotel, drive to Kausani in the private transport, en-route visit Buddhist Khamba Temple and the Baijnath group of temples, dating back to the 10th century. Further, you visit Bageshwar group of temples ( 21 km) then drive back to Kausan. Mahatma Gandhi ashram "Anashakti Ashram", Gandhi used to call " Kausani" as a Mini Switzerland of India, one of the most beautiful scenic hill station of India, check-in & Overnight.
Morning Breakfast, proceed to Mahavatar Babaji cave via Dwarahat & Kukuchina, upon arrival at small hamlet which is called Kukuchina, have small tea break & then proceed for Baba Ji Cave ( 3 km / Motorable off-road & 2 km treking trail), after cave visit, while trekking downhill back, en-route, spend some time in the meditation hut of YSS. The hut is located by a water stream, where Lahiri Mahasaya also meditated.
On the way back to Kausani, you will also make a visit to the temple of a goddess Dunagiri Mata Mandir & Dwarahat Group of Temples, namely Mahamrityunjay Temple, which is dedicated to Shiva along with the ancient temple of Badrinath & Gujar Dev Temple. Overnight at Kausani Hill station.
Morning breakfast at the Hotel, check-out & proceed to the most beautiful hill station, Nainital. En-route visit Jageshwar Dham, about 2000 years old group of 120 Temples, dedicated to Lord Shiva along with the Neem Karoli Baba Ashram, Kainchi Dham, where Steve Jobs and the Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg's and other world-famous business tycoons have made their presence. upon arrival, check-in & overnight in Hotel.
After breakfast at Hotel, visit some places of Nainital hill station like Naina Devi Mandir, Bhimtal lake etc., later check out and transfer to railway station, Kathgodam ( Kathgodam NEW Delhi Shatabdi Express - 12039)- Departure, 15:35/ Arrival, 21:10 ) at New Delhi Railway Station or drive straight to New Delhi with the same driver. The surface drive will take around 7 to 8 hr to reach New Delhi.
