The Rashtrapati Ashiana, a site of immense historical importance, dates back to 1838. Originally, it was established for a unique purpose—to serve as a summer retreat for the horses and remounts of the Governor General’s Bodyguard. Currently, the estate serves as the base for the Presidential Bodyguard Regiment (PBG), which carries a legacy of 251 years.
