The Ganga beach walk is a combination of white sandy beach, rugged, forest, some time stony, boulders & uneven trail along the Ganges river, pass some of the famous Ashram such as Osho Ganga Dham, Ram Tapasthali Ashram, Gopal Kutir Ashram. some small temple and meeting with some real Sadhus who have made their hermitage along the bank of the Ganges where one can not reach easily.
The walking tour begins from Lakshman Jhula or Nim Beach in the heart of Rishikesh, your visit Rishikesh takes you through the spiritual scenery of the holy river Ganges. There are ample opportunities to stop enroute and take a conversation with Sadhus and a refreshing deep in the crystal clear waters.

The Ganga river walking tour is about 6-7 km roundtrip from Lakshman Jhula hanging bridge, it is a U shape river bank walk, the upstream hike is real off-trail, along with the whopping sounds of the Ganges, visiting quaint ashrams and temples, having a tea break at Osho Ganga Dham Ashram what else you can expect from this trail. It has all to admire seamlessly.
While walking back, you cross the river bridge at Garud Chatti and then you have a roadside walk all the way down up to Laxman Jhula alongthe bank of the Ganges. This trail is the best know for birding, you have many chances to spot the Himalayan birds. Tour ends at Laxman Jhula or Tapovan in Rishikesh.
Ganga River walk starts meeting with an expert guide at Lakshman Jhula, start hiking on the upstream of the river along the bank of Ganges, crossing famous Nim beach, famous for sunbathing & swimming, later take the forested trail of the bank of the Ganges. Later you appear again on a white sandy beach, a few steps ahead of you there is the water stream meeting in the Ganges, and the boulders and uneven trail will start for few minutes.
Later, the trail landscape will change dramitically that runs along with some famous Ashram too, such as Gopal Kutir Ashram, Osho Ganga Dham & Ram Tapasthali Asham are best-known for the meditative environment. After few minutes, you emerge in solitude, where you spend the time on your way of being.
And, finally, You take a scenic road to cross the Ganges river at Bramhapuri and take a downstream walk along the Ganges on the roadside, watching birds with whooping sounds of the Ganges up to Laxman Jhula.
