Here&#8217;s my hiking guide from Rishikesh. Looking for a short hike to see some waterfalls near Rishikesh? Patna Waterfall is a great option for those wanting to leave town and explore the serenity of the <a href=\"https:\/\/rajajitigerreserve.uk.gov.in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Rajaji Forest<\/strong> <strong>reserve<\/strong> <\/a>on the banks of the Ganges.<\/p>\n<p>In this guide, I&#8217;ll explain how to get to Patna Waterfall from Rishikesh, with photos, up-to-date information, and tips on what to see there.<\/p>\n<h3>Patna Waterfall Location<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The Waterfall is just approximately 5 km from the <strong>Laxman Jhula Bridge in Tapovan<\/strong>, Rishikesh, lies just below the the quaint village of Patna.<\/li>\n<li>To get here, you can either rent a motorbike from one of the many shops in the Tapovan area or walk for just over an hour on Neelkanth Temple Road, on the south side of the Ganges River.<\/li>\n<li>The waterfall track is found just off the main road, a bit after <strong>Garud Chatti Falls<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>At the trailhead, you&#8217;ll find a few stalls selling snacks and chai. There are no signs indicating the start of the Patna Waterfall hike, but you&#8217;ll see it just opposite the <strong>&#8220;Sidh Bali Temple, Neelkanth Temple,&#8221;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Hiking\u00a0 to Patna Waterfall Uttarakhand<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Hike Distance:<\/strong> 3 km round trip<\/li>\n<li><strong>Duration:<\/strong> Approximately 2 hours including time at the waterfall<\/li>\n<li><strong>Difficulty:<\/strong> Easy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once you reach the trailhead beside the stalls on Neelkanth Temple Road, you&#8217;ll embark on a short but scenic 1.5 km walking track through the Rajaji Forest Reserve to Patna Falls.<\/p>\n<p>There is no fee required to visit Patna Waterfall. We found a small, shallow pool below the waterfall where we enjoyed a natural shower on a warm day.<\/li>\n<li>The flow wasn&#8217;t strong, but it was refreshing after the hike.
