We\u2019re going through <strong>big mountains<\/strong> and a <strong>green valley<\/strong>, and the soft, puffy clouds are so low, they feel like they want to touch the ground.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m getting closer to Mussoorie Uttarakhand India, the <strong>queen of hill-stations<\/strong>, where everyone says the views are amazing! As we drive up the last mountain, it starts to <strong>drizzle<\/strong> a little bit, like nature is giving me a happy little hello.<\/p>\n<p>Mussoorie is not just pretty; it\u2019s where lots of famous <strong>writers<\/strong> and <strong>artists<\/strong> live. I heard that a cool writer named <strong>Ganesh Saili<\/strong> once said that there are lots of <strong>creative brains<\/strong> between Mussoorie and a place called <strong>Landour<\/strong>. When I get out of the car, I take a big breath of the <strong>fresh air<\/strong> and look around. The town is so <strong>bright and colorful<\/strong>! I think maybe this place will help me become a <strong>poet<\/strong> too!<\/p>\n<p>This is my first trip all by myself, and I didn\u2019t even make a list of fun things to do! I just want to explore Mussoorie without a plan. My tummy starts grumbling because it\u2019s way past breakfast time. I walk around the busy <strong>Mall Road<\/strong>, looking for a place to grab some coffee.<\/p>\n<p>There are lots of cute cafes, and I find one that looks super yummy! They have <strong>pancakes<\/strong>, <strong>chocolate cakes<\/strong>, <strong>shakes<\/strong>, and, oh wow, <strong>homemade chocolates<\/strong>! I learn that making chocolates is like a magic trick here, and it\u2019s been happening for a long time since Mussoorie used to be a summer place for British officers.<\/p>\n<p>While I sip my warm coffee with a <strong>chocolate brownie<\/strong>, I relax with a book. The sun feels nice and warm, and the <strong>rainy city<\/strong> sparkles like it\u2019s wearing diamonds. After a tasty sandwich, I go outside, but uh-oh, it starts raining again! He tells me to visit another store nearby, called <strong>Cambridge Book Shop<\/strong>. He says my favorite writer,<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ruskin_Bond\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <strong>Ruskin Bond<\/strong><\/a>, comes there on Saturdays to meet fans!<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m so excited! Since today is Saturday, I hurry over to the book shop, hoping to see him. But oh no! The rain keeps him inside, so I can\u2019t meet him.<\/p>\n<p>I look at some books and buy a few to remember my trip. Even though Mussoorie is cool, the people here are super warm and friendly. Everyone smiles and helps me find my way!<\/p>\n<p>As I walk along the <strong>Mall<\/strong>, I see a sign that says \u201c<strong>way to <a href=\"https:\/\/rishikeshdaytour.com\/blogoldsite\/your-perfect-3-day-mussoorie-itinerary\/\">Gun Hill Cable Car<\/a><\/strong>.\u201d I follow it because it sounds fun! The cable car takes me up to <strong>Gun Hill<\/strong>, a place way up high where you can see everything! It\u2019s like flying over the clouds! When I get to the top, the clouds are lighter, and I can see the beautiful white-tipped mountains.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s almost time for the <strong>sunset<\/strong>, and lots of people gather to watch. The sun looks like a giant orange ball setting the sky on fire! It\u2019s the most amazing show ever! To really enjoy this experience, you need to hike!<\/li>\n<li>To start your adventure, drive along the road to <strong>Cloud\u2019s End<\/strong>, where you\u2019ll find the starting point marked with a <strong>Forest Board<\/strong> painted in red and green. You\u2019ll notice a <strong>steel pole barricade<\/strong> on your right.<\/li>\n<li>Once you begin hiking, the trail will descend for the first <strong>20 minutes<\/strong>. After that, you\u2019ll reach a <strong>Forest Check Post<\/strong> where you need to pay an entrance fee of <strong>INR 150 per person<\/strong> to go further into the sanctuary.<\/li>\n<li>From there, it takes about <strong>40 to 50 minutes<\/strong> of steady hiking to reach <strong>Benog Hill<\/strong> and the <strong>Jwala Devi Temple<\/strong>. The entire journey is <strong>4 km one way<\/strong>, and the hike can take about <strong>2 to 3 hours<\/strong>, depending on your pace.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Important Information<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Don\u2019t forget that the sanctuary is open every day from <strong>7:00 AM to 5:00 PM<\/strong>.
