This is clearly mentioned in ancient scriptures. Taking a bath in the Ganges here is considered especially significant.<\/p>\n

On the left bank of the Ganges, adjoining Swargashram within the boundary of Rajaji Tiger Reserve, is located Chaurasi Kutiya. Chaurasi Kutiya is also known as Shankaracharya Nagar and Beatles Ashram<\/strong>. This ashram was established by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the proponent of transcendental meditation yoga.<\/p>\n

In 1968, four members of the famous Western band, The Beatles<\/strong>, came to this ashram. They composed many memorable songs and music here. Even today, a large number of tourists from abroad come to see this place associated with the memories of The Beatles.<\/p>\n

In Chaurasi Kutiya,<\/strong> 84 dome-shaped huts were built for yoga and meditation, which still exist here.<\/p>\n

However, due to being closed for a long time, most of the buildings have deteriorated. But as an amazing example of architecture, this structure remains relevant today. The ashram complex has a temple,<\/strong> library, kitchen, Maharishi Yogi\u2019s house, and huts<\/strong>, the walls of which have colorful murals.<\/p>\n

Chaurasi Kutiya<\/strong> is also a suitable place for nature trails and bird watching. For entry here, foreign tourists have to pay 1200 rupees, Indian tourists 150 rupees, senior citizens 75 rupees, and students 40 rupees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Here, famous Parmarth Niketan, Geeta Bhavan, Vanprasth Ashram, Geeta Ashram<\/strong>, as well as the multi-storied 13-floor, 14-floor, and multi-storied Bhootnath<\/strong> temple are located. The 13-floor temple is also known as Triyambakeshwar temple.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This temple situated on the banks of the Ganges river is an attractive and beautiful example of 13-floor architecture. About 2 kilometers from here is Bhootnath temple<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It is believed that Lord Shiva\u2019s wedding procession had stayed here. In the courtyard of this temple, there is a Shiva Lingam, around which bells are hung. The special thing is that each bell produces different sound.<\/p>\n
