The PWD gave the company an <strong>extension<\/strong> of 12<strong>\u00a0more months<\/strong>, and the bridge is now expected to be ready by Oct<strong>\u00a02025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>On <strong>October 27, 2021<\/strong>, the <strong>Central Government<\/strong> approved <strong>Rs 56 crore<\/strong> under the <strong>Central Road and Infrastructure Fund<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This amount was given to the <strong>Public Works Department (PWD)<\/strong> to build the<a href=\"https:\/\/rishikeshdaytour.com\/blog\/bajrang-setu-rishikesh-at-laxman-jhula\/\"> <strong>Bajrang Setu<\/strong><\/a> (glass bridge) between <strong>Tapovan and Swargashram<\/strong>. It will give a thrilling experience to visitors. An official from the <strong>Public Works Department<\/strong> said the bridge will be ready by <strong>June 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The foundation work is happening on both sides of the <strong>Ganga River<\/strong>. The towers on this bridge are being designed to look like the shape of <strong>Kedarnath Temple<\/strong>, which makes it even more special!<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Bajrang Setu<\/strong> will be an impressive bridge. The towers will be <strong>27 meters tall<\/strong>, and the bridge itself will be <strong>133 meters long<\/strong> and <strong>8 meters wide<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The bridge will have <strong>three lanes<\/strong>. Small two<strong>-wheelers<\/strong> can pass through the middle lane. The middle lane will have two <strong>2.5-meter-wide lanes<\/strong> for <strong>two-wheelers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On both sides of the bridge, there will be a <strong>glass walkway<\/strong>. Tourists can stand there and enjoy the stunning view of the <strong>Ganga River<\/strong> from a height of <strong>57 meters<\/strong>.<br \/>\nBajrang Setu<span style=\"font-size: 15px; letter-spacing: 0px;\"> will be <\/span><strong style=\"font-size: 15px; letter-spacing: 0px;\">65 mm thick<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 15px; letter-spacing: 0px;\">, making it very strong and safe.
