This project is expected to enhance tourism and provide a major boost to the infrastructure of Uttarakhand.<\/p>\n<p>The tunnel at Karnaprayag-Simai demonstrates the engineering marvel involved in the project and highlights the effort to overcome geographical challenges.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Once the rail project is finished<\/strong>, traveling to the mountains will be much easier, and <strong>tourism<\/strong> will receive a significant boost, he stated.<\/p>\n<h3>Opportunity for Pilgrims<\/h3>\n<p>It will also make the <a href=\"https:\/\/rishikeshdaytour.com\/blog\/chardham-yatra-registration-2024\/\"><strong>Chardham pilgrimage<\/strong><\/a> highly convenient and create new opportunities for <strong>jobs and self-employment<\/strong>, Dhami mentioned. He added that the <strong>Rishikesh-Karnaprayag rail line<\/strong> is a special gift from the prime minister, showcasing his deep affection for <strong>Uttarakhand<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Insights about the Project<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Officials shared with the chief minister that the total length of the <strong>Rishikesh-Karnaprayag rail Line\u00a0 project<\/strong> is <strong>125 km<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sixteen tunnels<\/strong> and <strong>12 stations<\/strong> are being constructed as part of this Rishikesh-Karnaprayag rail line project.<\/li>\n<li>The target is to finish most of the work by <strong>December 2026<\/strong>. A railway station for <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Karnaprayag\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Karnaprayag<\/strong><\/a> is being built in <strong>Sewai<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>On <strong>December 25<\/strong>, a <strong>6.3 km escape tunnel<\/strong> from <strong>Bhattnagar (Gauchar)<\/strong> to <strong>Sewai<\/strong> was completed.
