A big stone called <strong>Brahma Shila<\/strong> marks the exact place where the wedding happened.<\/p>\n<p>There is an eternal<a href=\"https:\/\/rishikeshdaytour.com\/blog\/triyuginarayan-temple-agni-kund\/\"> <strong>holy fire<\/strong><\/a> burning in front of the temple. It continues to inspire millions of devotees with its rich history and spiritual sanctity.<\/p>\n<h4>The Magnificent Jagannath Temple, Puri<\/h4>\n<p>The <strong>Jagannath Temple<\/strong> in <strong>Puri<\/strong>, Odisha, is one of India\u2019s most <strong>revered Vaishnava temples<\/strong>. It is an <strong>ancient place of worship<\/strong>, still active today. The main shrine was built in the <strong>10th century<\/strong> by <strong>Anantavarman Chodaganga<\/strong> of the Chodaganga dynasty. The deities, however, are believed to be much older, linked to <strong>King Indrayumna<\/strong>, a mythical ruler from the <strong>Satya Yuga<\/strong> and a relative of <strong>Lord Ram<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Historical Highlights<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>In <strong>1174 AD<\/strong>, <strong>King Anang Bhim Deo<\/strong> ascended the throne of Orissa. This enormous project took <strong>14 years<\/strong> and cost <strong>1.5 million measures of gold<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Chattisanijoga<\/strong>, an organized order of temple servitors, was established to manage the temple\u2019s activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>The Crisis of 1568<\/h3>\n<p>In <strong>1568<\/strong>, after the <strong>Nawab of Bengal<\/strong>, Sultan Suleiman Karani, defeated the Gajapati ruler <strong>Mukunda Deva<\/strong>, his general <strong>Kalapahad<\/strong> attacked the temple.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>deities<\/strong> were secretly moved near <strong>Chilika Lake<\/strong> to protect them.<\/li>\n<li>Unfortunately, Kalapahad found and burned the sacred idols.
