The Kedarnath Ropeway Project<\/strong> is one of India\u2019s most ambitious pilgrimage infrastructure developments. Once completed, it will become one of the world\u2019s longest and highest ropeways<\/strong>, drastically reducing the difficult trek to Kedarnath Temple<\/span><\/span><\/strong> and transforming the Char Dham Yatra experience.<\/p>\n

Designed to connect Sonprayag<\/span><\/span><\/strong> with Kedarnath, the ropeway will make the sacred journey faster, safer, and accessible for elderly devotees and those with limited physical ability.<\/p>\n

Kedarnath Ropeway Project Overview<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Kedarnath Ropeway is a dream project envisioned by Narendra Modi<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/a> and is being developed under the Parvatmala National Ropeway Development Programme<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The project has been awarded to Adani Enterprises Limited<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, while the implementing authority is National Highways Logistics Management Limited<\/span><\/span> (NHLML)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Once operational, pilgrims will complete the journey in just 36 minutes<\/strong>, compared to the current 8\u20139 hour trek<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Currently, devotees can reach only up to Sonprayag by road. From there, they must trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath<\/strong> on foot or use horses, palkis, or helicopters.<\/p>\n

The Sonprayag to Kedarnath Ropeway<\/strong> will completely replace the physically demanding trek for most pilgrims.<\/p>\n
